"The Secret Life of The American Teenager" realizó el mejor comienzo para una serie emitida sobre la cadena por cable ABC Family, cautivando a 2.8 millones de telespectadores.
"Secret Life" ha derribado también récords para un season premiere sobre varias categorías, la de los 18/49 años y estableció una de las mejores audiencias sobre varios blancos de toda la historia de la cadena en cuanto a series.
La serie se centra en Amy, una adolescente que descubre que está embarazada. Una noticia que va a cambiar su vida para siempre, y no simplificará sus relaciones con sus amigos y su familia...
Shailene Woodley, vista en Crossing Jordan, The O.C., interpretará el papel de la joven Amy. Está rodeada de Molly Ringwald (estrella de los años 80), Josie Bissett (Melrose Place) y... John Schneide (alias Jonathan Kent, el padre de Clark en Smallville).
Una vez mas ABC le apuesta a las series para adolescentes centradas en las críticas relaciones familiares que se viven por estos días.
